Experience
Independent Contractor 2001 – Present
I’m always on the look out for contracts that are fun and will help me keep current and give me a chance to work with the latest new hotness. For the past year I have been contracting full-time with a company based in Tokyo. There, I am part of a small team that is creating a social network site for Japan. I am also consulting with a startup that provides a service to youth sports leagues to have athletic skills evaluated by pros. For fun I am a part of a start up that is reviving a popular time tracking Palm application for iOS, Android and BlackBerry.

Developer/Director Technical Services, Axis41, Utah 2008-2010
In my 2 years at this agency I managed and created over 250 projects for clients like FranklinCovey, Novell, Easton, O.C. Tanner and Omniture/Adobe. I helped grow the agency and the development team by implementing the evergreen framework and agile-like development processes. I worked closely with the clients, creative and account teams to deliver a TON of high quality sites very quickly.

Developer/project lead, Contagious 2006-2007
My first start up experience. Our aim was to create several destination sites for outdoor sportsmen to buy gear and book travel for hunting and fishing trips. My team and I focused on building a framework that would allow us to build sites quickly. The framework continued to evolve after the project was dissolved and soon became a staple for every site I worked on from that point forward and has had thousands of sites built on it since. You can find it on github under naturalcodeproject/evergreen.

Developer/Multimedia/videographer, O.C. Tanner, Utah 1997-2006
For the first few years at O.C. Tanner I was responsible for creating and maintaining sites for their clients. I also introduced web based and CD based multimedia into the sales and marketing departments. Some of the clients I did work for were Coca-Cola, Apple, Disney, Pepsi and Bally’s. As I became more interested in web development I was able to move to the marketing department and started building content management systems in PHP and MySQL for internal and external company sites. I was also part of a team that started carrots.com. It promoted 2 well known authors/speakers in HR. My last year there I was part of the team that created thanks.com.
